3B30.1 Sound in Vacuum

[Setup Time: 5 Min.] [Current Condition: OK- still some buzzing from vibration]

Info

A ringing alarm driven with DC voltage is suspended inside a bell jar. The sound fades away as the air is pumped out and returns when vented. The arm of the ringer can still be seen moving up close.

NOTE: do not apply too much voltage (smoke/fire) or in the wrong direction!
